Built in 1967, the aquatic facility now is now home to: a 300,000 gallon public swimming pool; a 5,000 gallon wading pool; the "Lope Slope" Slide; some of freshest hot dogs around courtesy of our friendly staff at the "Snack Shack." Stop by and visit us on the Pool Deck this Summer! All are welcome! The Avonworth Pool opens Memorial Day Weekend each year. We are open Tuesday - Sunday each week. We will be open on Memorial Day Monday, The 4th of July Monday & Labor Day Monday, for the Summer 2023 season. We then follow the Avonworth School District Calendar. We are closed Mondays, except for private parties. The Pavilion is our largest seasonal rental facility with a maximum occupancy of 200 guests. Located next to the basketball courts and behind the Mayernik Center, it is perfect for a family reunion, graduation party, or outdoor wedding reception. Seasonal Rentals The Pavilion The Pavilion is our largest seasonal rental facility with a maximum occupancy of 200 guests. Located next to the basketball courts and behind the Mayernik Center, it is perfect for a family reunion, graduation party, or outdoor wedding reception. The Pavilion has electricity and running water but no kitchen facilities present. It does feature a charcoal grill that can be utilized by the renter or a catering service. Renters are permitted alcohol (beer and wine only) which must stay contained to the facility grounds. Bathroom facilities are located next to Kid's Kingdom. This is a seasonal rental and is only available to rent from mid-May through early October. Rental reservations may only be made after Midnight on January 1st (New Year's Eve) for the respective year. Miller Hall Tucked in the back corner of the park, Miller Hall is an original sleeping building from Joseph Horne's Camp in 1910. It is an indoor rustic, ranch-style facility which allows the flexibility of an indoor/outdoor event. The facility can seat up to 60 guests inside the facility but can accommodate up to 100 guests when using the outside picnic tables. With limited kitchen facilities, Miller Hall allows renters the option to either cook the food on-site or have it catered. The facility is handicap accessible and has its own bathroom facilities. Renters are permitted alcohol (beer and wine only) which must stay contained to the facility grounds. This is a seasonal rental and is only available to rent from mid-May through early October. Rental reservations may only be made after Midnight on January 1st (New Year's Eve) for the respective year. Picnic Groves Avonworth Community Park has three outdoor groves available for smaller parties: Ash, Birch, and Cedar (formerly named A, B, and C). Ash and Birch groves have seating for up to 40 guests each, and Cedar seats up to 50. All three groves are located next to Kid's Kingdom, and are ideal for birthday or graduation parties and smaller company picnics. The groves can be rented separately or combined for larger events. Each grove features a charcoal grill that can be utilized by the renter or a catering service. Renters are permitted alcohol (beer and wine only, no glass) but it must stay contained to the facility grounds and is not permitted in Kid's Kingdom. Bathroom facilities are located next to Kid's Kingdom This is a seasonal rental and is only available to rent from mid-May through early October. Connected to the main hall is the bar area, where all appetizers and food are served along with the formal oak bar. The Mayernik Center provides the option to hold your ceremony on-site at the adjacent Pavilion, in the main dining hall, or on the lawn behind the venue.
